or Not to Buy

For the past few weeks, I have been looking into buying a house. I figured that it would be worth the investment to go ahead rather than throw my money away renting. I was looking forward to having a place that was mine (or at least one I was paying on!). I had begun the application process for a loan and had even started to pick out houses that I liked. After some more thinking about it & talking with the fam, I have decided to not go ahead with it. I just don't want to get tied down with a mortgage that I can't get out of, especially with the high probability that I will be moving in a couple of years in order to move up in my job. I don't know where I'm going to end up, and when I get ready to move it'll be a lot easier to not have to worry about a house. Plus, there's no telling how the market's going to end up at this point. I'm going to wait until I'm done with grad school. Hopefully by then I'll have a better handle of exactly where & in what direction I want to go. So, now I'm off to find an apartment. Yuck. I swore I'd never live in one again, but shit happens & sometimes ya just gotta suck it up. Besides, it's not the end of the line. Things will get better...I've just gotta give it some time & have some patience.
