Rainy Days and Work

Holiday's over! BACK ta work with ya!

Not like I'm complaining...We're still on standdown, so it's just a half-day. I think I'm going to Burlington tomorrow to fool around. Gotta take some stuff back anyway. Kristen & I were gonna go to Mt. Erie today to do some climbing and I was really looking forward to it, but the rain came.

But it was a good one (Christmas). Uneventful. I got to catch up on a lot of stuff I wanted to do.

I'm going home in a few days...Fly out on the 4th. I'm stoked...haven't been home in well over a year. In fact, we were all trying to think back as to when I was last there, and I want to say it's been 2 years now. Either way, I'm due.

Meg wants me to go to Costa Rica with her in April. I think I'll be in Japan by then, but even if I'm not, I don't think I can scrape up enough change that fast for a ticket and accomodations...but it's tempting!!

What else, what else... OH! I finally got a call back from those folks down in Bremerton regarding my corrective eye surgery. I go in on the 3rd for an eval. I'm a little nervous -- I mean, we're talking Navy doctors here -- but excited. I have to wear my glasses until the surgery, but that's ok...Hopefully, if they don't burn my retinas to a pulp, I won't have to wear glasses ever again, other than for reading..
