Breast Cancer Awareness

Officially, last month was 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month.' However, now that it's in the headlines this month with the study I mentioned in my last post, I think this is an excellent opportunity for me to remind you to visit the Breast Cancer Site. Just by visiting their site and clicking on the links, you are helping to provide free mammograms for underpriveleged women. This is not a scam -- here is a link to the Urban Legend Reference Pages which confirms the site's validity. The ULRP is a great source for looking up questionable stories that you may receive via those notorious 'forwards' in your inbox.

For more information on breast cancer-- how to detect it early, symptoms, myths about breast cancer, and answers to any questions you may have --check out the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

By the way, there is a whole family of those websites where your clicks are for charity. If you just visit the Breast Cancer Site and look at the tabs on the top of the page, you can click on each one from there. Also, be sure to visit Campbell's site here:
Campbell's Soup Click for Cans - provides food for the hungry.
