Columbus Fun Run
I ran my first 10K today -- pretty sore now. My goal was to just finish without walking any part of it. I really thought I'd only make it about 4 miles and that I'd walk from there, but I just kept pushing myself to the next marker that I'd make in my mind. Pretty good sense of accomplishment after that one. I had a conversation with a lot of the guys who'd ran it after the race, and they were telling me how the next step up is a half-marathon. They told me once you get hooked, you'll want to keep improving. Well, I think just running the 10K is a huge improvement, considering I never ran a day in my life prior to joining the Navy.
