Bellingham

I went to Bellingham with Kristen one weekend to check out the area. We were looking to hit a mountain bike festival, but found out that there was a $30 fee just to get on the grounds. On top of that, they wanted to sell you stuff, so we said screw that, and took off exploring the town. We first went to Western Washington U's campus -- which is awesome -- and found out there was a music festival happening, so we parked and rode our bikes 'round campus and checked out the stage. God there's a bunch of hippies that go there!! Way cool. After that, we hit some resale shops and then just drove around until we happened upon this salmon fishery. I've never seen salmon running before, so I was watching these guys for a long while. They throw themselves upstream with so much force! Well, the hatchery led us to some walkways that connected with an in-town trail system, which was cool, too. (see picture above)
