Ferris Wheel in Yokohama

The Japanese are crazy about Ferris Wheels. The one in Yokohama is one of the largest in the world, according to tourism websites. I didn't really have the guts to ride it the last time I was here, so I vowed I would give it a whirl this time. I went up with 2 of my buddies from this trip. It was pretty neat to be that high up, even though I'm scared of heights. You can see out for quite a distance. It takes 15 minutes to ride all the way around, and the total height is 369 feet.

All around the ferris wheel is a huge shopping area in Yokohama with restaurants and several-storied luxury malls. Great place for just browsing around.

You can find out more info on Yokohama at: http://www.city.yokohama.jp/en/, which is mostly in English.
